SPRING 2026Still working on the first draft of my first standalone novel. It’s sweet! It’s spicy! It’s small-town vibes with big time feels. It hasn't been an easy go. My mental health took a shit again, but I refused to take a break again. It wasn't my story's fault, and my writing had nothing to do with it. Personal issues aside, progress has been pretty steady as far as I go. I finally got to write one of those scenes. Yeah, you know the ones I mean. Wink, wink. I love a good slow burn because when the spice hits, it is FIRE.My draft sits at a pretty 40k words and, with summer break nipping at my heels, I am chomping at the bit to really dig in and finish the first draft before I am forced to rejoin the world at the start of next school year.
